Ishmael Highway Art a Sign of Things to Come?

It seems some folks are so inspired by Ishmael, they just have to drive the point home. Take, for example, the anonymous artist of this Ishmael Highway Sign in Waynesville, North Carolina. The sign resided at the highway divider on Routes 19 and 23 for most of May and June 2000 before being removed by the state.
