SOCIETY NEWS
The last several months have greatly expanded the number of local Ishmael groups around the world, bringing to 83 the total number of groups in our listings. We have added groups in 15 states, and in 3 other countries in just the last 9 months, including groups in Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Kansas, Maryland, Nebraska, Nevada, New York, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Virginia, as well as in Brazil, in Alberta, Canada, in British Columbia, Canada, and in Portugal.
We have brought you stories about a new tribal business, an Ishmael-inspired band, a new place to meet other readers, a fellow reader who moved to a sustainable community in Venezuela, a great new website about sustainability, and more! New stories and groups are always flowing in.
In other big news, we continue our quest for 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit status. We are currently working on the paperwork to make this a reality. We are also working on another large project which will help to bring Quinn's work to the attention of more people. Stay tuned and thanks for all the support!

- On March 30, 2002, the Society reached its initial goal of collecting $500 towards becoming a tax-exempt nonprofit organization. We are now looking into the next steps of this very intricate procedure.
